Pegasus Local Area Surveillance over TCP/IP

  • • Remote control of cameras from PC over TCP/IP
  • • Rapidly Deployable
  • • Control of monitoring at Base Station or over the Internet
  • • Microwave or Fibre Optic option for connection between camera and base unit
  • • Fully ruggedised camera units rated to IP65

The ARK9360 Pegasus system has been specifically designed to address the traditional difficulty of establishing a CCTV link between a target and an observation point.

The system consists of an ARK9303 Remote Camera Unit (RCU), a ARK9319 Video Network Unit (VNU), and a laptop PC. The images from the camera are transmitted to the VNU case via single optical fibre optic or microwave link, which also provides the telemetry link for controlling the position and settings of the camera.

The Video Network Unit features an MPEG4 encoder which streams IP video on-demand to the Video Player Client (VPC) running on the notebook. The VPC controls the video streaming, decodes and displays the video images and provides a user interface for the control of a number of camera functions, e.g. Pan, Tilt, Zoom and Focus.
