The ARK7572 series of heavy-duty dielectric masts are intended for Antennas in the range 20-1100MHz to 110-1100MHz. With the ability to take large antennas,they exhibit minimal deflection (bending and tension) when the antenna is exposed to maximum wind loads and icing.
The use of a dielectric mast section is recommended in cases where the antenna is to be positioned for reception of vertically polarised signals
The presence of a metallic or conducting mast between the elements of the log periodic antennas causes interference with the electrical performance of the antenna. This usually takes the form of a high output VSWR across a significant segment of the frequency band, some 50MHz wide. Distortion of the radiation pattern of the antenna also occurs. Use of the ARK7572 series Heavy Duty Dielectric Mast overcomes this problem.
