The ARK7456 Series UHF Multicoupler Unit provides sixteen RF outputs from one of three RF input signals, in the frequency range 225MHz to 400MHz. The equipment features an input switch to select the desired RF input signal for distribution, and also allows an internal test signal to be routed through the multicoupler. The selected RF signal is bandwidth limited by a 225-400MHz filter, and amplified before being routed through a 16 way power divider circuit.
The amplifier maintains a gain through the multicoupler unit of nominally 1dB. The three RF inputs to the unit include protection against lightning induced transient voltages.
One of the multicoupler RF outputs features a coupler and detector circuit to detect the presence of an in-band RF signal at a level of nominally 10dBm.
