The ARK-7455-1 VHF Multicoupler Unit provides 16 RF outputs from one of three RF input signals, in the frequency range 30MHz to 88MHz.
The equipment features an input switch to select the desired RF input signal for distribution, and also allows an internal test signal to be routed through the multicoupler.
The selected RF signal is bandwidth limited by a 30-88MHz filter, and amplified before being routed through a 16 way power divider circuit. The amplifier maintains a gain through the multicoupler unit of nominally 1dB. The three RF inputs to the unit include protection against lightning induced transient voltages. Output limiters are also included to protect the multicoupler from high power signals.
