HF Preselector Controller Unit

The HF Preselector Controller Unit operates over the frequency range 1.5 to 30 MHz. Its role is to provide the power and control functions for two preselector tuning units. The preselector controller receives commands via a single serial control interface and passes these commands to each of the two preselectors, via dedicated serial interface ports.
Front panel control is also provided allowing selection of remote, bypass or self test modes. In addition when the controller detects loss of commands from the remote control unit the bypass mode is selected.
The equipment operates from a 115V AC power supply and is housed in a 4U 19" rack.
