The ARK7096 Series of Audio/Data Switching Matrices provide the capability to switch a number of input signals to a number of outputs, with each output having independent access to any input, irrespective the number of outputs being connected to the same input. This is termed a non-blocking matrix, as opposed to a crosspoint (or blocking), matrix in which any input can only be routed to a single output at any one time. The equipment is of modular design, utilising plug in PCBs and power supplies. It can be configured with various numbers of inputs and outputs, as required.
The minimum configuration provides 32 inputs and 32 outputs. The combination of inputs and outputs can be configured within a single ARK7096 6U equipment. Smaller matrices can be fitted in a 3U chassis.
